We offer two different services for downloading ebooks that you can read on various devices including your computer, Kindle, iPad, iPhone, Sony Reader, Nook, Blackberry and more.

• My Media Mall - Download eBooks to your computer, Kindle, iPad, iPhone, Nook and more.
• Freading - Download eBooks to your computer, iPad, iPhone or Nook. FREADING WILL NOT WORK WITH KINDLE.

We offer two different services for downloading audiobooks to your computer or MP3 player. Individual titles may differ between services.

• My Media Mall - Download audiobooks to your computer, MP3 player, iPod or directly to your smartphone.
• Recorded Books OneClickdigital - Thousands of titles to download to your computer, MP3 player, iPod or directly to your smartphone. PLEASE NOTE: You will need to set up an account the first time you use OneClickdigital.

Freading Ebook Questions and Answers

• What devices can I download Freading ebooks to?  Freading books can be downloaded to and read on both PCs and Macs. Sony Readers and Nooks will work with the ebooks, as may many other ebook readers.  Freading ebooks can be downloaded to various mobile devices such as the iPad, iPod, iPhone and Android phones by using the Freading app. The app can be found here or as a free download in the marketplace for your device.
• Can the library's Freading ebooks be loaded on a Kindle?  No.
• What software is required to check out Freading ebooks?  Freading requires you to install Adobe Digital Editions to read epub and pdf formatted books on Nooks, Sony Readers and other ereaders. This is a free download. Please note that Adobe Digital Editions is different from Adobe Reader. You may also have to install the software that came with your ereader to transfer books to an ereader.
• For how long can I check out Freading ebooks? Freading ebooks can be checked out for up to 2 weeks.
• How many Freading ebooks can I have checked out at once?  Each book "costs" an amount from 1 to 4 "tokens". You are provided with 8 "tokens" per week. Your "tokens" accumulate every week over four weeks, after which they reset to 8 "tokens". You can check out as many books as you can "pay" for with your available "tokens".
• What happens at the end of the checkout period? Will the ebook just disappear?  Freading ebooks will cease to work at the end of their check out period. You will still need to remove the file from your computer and ebook reader.
• Do I have to "return" an ebook at the end of the check out period?  You do not have to "return" ebooks at the end of the check out period.

• Do I have to "return" a My Media Mall ebook at the end of the check out period?  You do not have to "return" ebooks at the end of the check out period.  However, you can choose to "return" EPUB and PDF ebooks early.  You can do this from within Adobe Digital Editions, the Overdrive app or the Amazon Kindle manager (for Kindle books).
• What is a Mobipocket book?  A Mobipocket book is a type of ebook that requires a free Mobipocket Reader.  You read these ebooks on your computer or you can transfer Mobipocket books to various portable devices including those running Palm OS, Symbian OS and Windows Mobile, and Blackberries.

Audiobook Questions and Answers

• Can I download audiobooks to an Ipod?  All OneClickdigital titles are available for iPod, iPhone and iPad, whether you use a Mac or PC. My Media Mall offer many audiobook titles for Ipod, iPhone and iPad; however, you will have a wider selection of audiobooks available if you sync your Apple device with a PC rather than a Mac.
• Can I download audiobooks to a Mac?  All OneClickdigital titles can be played on a Mac by first downloading the Media Manager (OS 10.6.6 required). My Media Mall offer many audiobook titles for Macs in MP3 format, with Mac-compatible titles marked as such on the website.
• Can I burn audiobooks to a cd?  My Media Mall offers a number of titles that can be burned to cd. OneClickdigital does not offer any titles that can be burned to cd.
• What software is required to check out audiobooks?  My Media Mall requires you to install the Overdrive Media Console to check out audiobooks.  OneClickdigital offers the Media Manager and strongly recommends that you use it for full site functionality.
• For how long can I "check out" audiobooks? My Media Mall audiobooks can be checked out for 2 weeks. OneClickdigital audiobooks can be checked out for up to 2 weeks. You can renew OneClickdigital audiobooks once.
• Do I have to "return" audiobooks at the end of the check out period?  You do not have to return audiobooks at the end of the check out period.  Both My Media Mall and OneClickdigital will automatically know when your check out has expired. OneClickdigital gives you the option to return audiobooks early while users of the mobile My Media Mall app also have the option to return audiobooks early.
• How many audiobooks can I have checked out at once?  You can have up to 5 items checked out from My Media Mall at once.  This covers any combination of ebooks and audiobooks.  You can have up to 10 OneClickdigital audiobooks checked out at once.
• What happens at the end of the checkout period? Will the audiobook just disappear?  Audiobooks will cease to work at the end of their check out period. You will still need to remove the file from your computer and mp3 player.
• What type of MP3 player works best?  My Media Mall offers a Device Resource Center to help you choose a device. OneClickdigital also offers help choosing a device.
• Can I download audiobooks directly to my smartphone or other mobile device? My Media Mall offers an Overdrive Media Console app that lets you download MP3 audiobooks directly to your Android, Blackberry, iPhone, iPod, iPad or Windows Mobile device.  The app can be found here or as a free download in the marketplace for your device. OneClickdigital requires the use of a computer.
